Nina Simone was a one-of-a-kind vocalist and this new 45 RPM Analogue Productions reissue of her famed album Little Girl Blue is as exacting and soul-stirring as the performance she delivers. Like all our 45 RPM reissues, this Analogue Productions LP delivers a reduction in groove curvature that greatly reduces inner groove distortion as your stereo cartridge nears the center. And improved high frequency reproduction. For Little Girl Blue, Nina and her rhythm section recorded the entire album plus three additional tracks in just one session. In her biography of Nina, Nadine Cohodas recounts engineer Irv Greeenbaum’s recollection of that day: “Nothing like Nina’s artistry had ever happened before ... Her voice and the keyboard playing were so rich and interesting that they could have stood alone.”
